You are on the exact same path I took last year. Dr. Lars Svensson is the best in the world. I just finished cardiac rehabilitation today and all is well!
Four years ago today Dr. Svensson and his team did their thing with me... when I was 67. Fantastic experience. My bicuspid turned out to be a unicuspid, and like you and Sean I also had my ascending aorta repaired. My 9" scar is barely visible... though I wouldn't have... Read more.
I had a similar surgery nearly 7 years ago. It's definitely doable yet no picnic in the park. I'm doing quite well now so I wish you the best. Godspeed.
