About Me

My surgery was postponed due to a positive covid test. I'm asymptomatic and have since tested negative, but better safe than sorry. I had no idea about my aortic stenosis until November 8. I am the typical woman who has taken care of everyone else in my life, but ignored my own health. On 11/8 I had a D&C (all is good on that front now), which collapsed my lungs. Through a 3 day hospital stay, my hospitalist found ALL THE THINGS wrong with me. It has been a whirlwind of tests and Dr. visits since. My surgery was originally scheduled for 12/18/2023, barely a month after my first learning about it. I'm 50 years old and have so many concerns about my life expectancy. I also want to know so much more about being on Warfarin for the rest of my life.
