About Me

I’ve had a heart murmur pretty much my whole life due to rheumatic fever as a child. I was diagnosed with severe mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation in 2018. At that time I was still asymptomatic. We monitored it yearly until it got noticeably worse in November of 2022. In February 2023 I had the surgery. Fortunately I had no blockages and was able to have my valves repaired. I’m not going to lie, the first few weeks of recovery were tough, my heart was fine, the trauma to the body was the difficult part. Today, I only take a low dose aspirin and I’m back to exercising and working out like I did 30 years ago. I’m living life like never before. Now, 1 year out, looking back, It was well worth the journey. Take Good Care! 💔❤️‍🩹❤️😎
