I am now starting to feel stronger. Even though I haven't started cardio rehab yet, (my cardiologist has me on a monitor path for another week), I am walking more and more each day. I am so very happy to be feeling healthy again! I'm beginning to see just how unhealthy I was -- when I compare how I feel now to how I felt the last few years on a daily basis. I have so much more energy, and hope for accomplishing things I have not been able to do for a long time (like updating my garden, home decor, and much more). Feeling grateful (still) and now quite excited about life!

As I have been feeling better and better each day, I have clearly gone overboard a few times with trying to do too much too soon I guess because there have been a couple of times where after a long day of laundry, and stuff -- I've woke up the next day with a great deal of pain.!! I must not do this anymore! I want to be patient with myself and my healing, and I am trying to balance things carefully. However, I am so looking forward to getting back to my "normal" activity levels. My new cardiologist won't refer me to begin rehab until after she does a stress test and another test concerning the A FIB I had in the hospital. I'm also still on warfarin but most of the other meds are tapering off now (starting week 5 post op this week). Balance is a key issue for me because I will also be easing back to work this week, but I've not been good at taking it easy so this is my new challenge. I am determined to allow myself proper healing and take really good care of myself;-)
