I was diagnosed with Mitral valve prolapse in my early 20’s, the Dr’s thought I might of come down with Strep throat and did not know it to get it treated. As a suprise to myself at the time and other friends today when I tell them that infections like that can damage your heart, I was always told someday you might need surgery to repair. That someday has arrived about 30 years later, all these years it’s been a “Wait and See” when I went in for my annual heart check up.
