About Me

I was diagnosed in 2008 with moderate severe aortic valve regurgitation. At first I had echoes done once a year until November 2017. That one showed my heart was a tiny bit enlarged so they wanted to repeat it again in January. They also ordered a stress test which I didn't pass. An appointment was made for me to see the surgeon along with a pulmonary function test. Of all days for this appt.... Valentine's Day. He said since I wasn't having too many symptoms I'd return in May. My appointment is May 9th with an echo first then see the surgeon. Something was seen on the echo that led the surgeon to send me on May 16th to have a CTA with/without contrast. Whatever he thought he saw on the echo was not present in the CTA. From there I had heart catheterization on May 29th. No blockages!!! Next step Pre-care and appt with surgeon on June 6th. Step by step closer to a surgery date! 😞
