Send Chris a NoteAbout Me
It’s amazing how life can change in the blink of an eye. One day your the guy at the gym doing thousands of burpees and everyone watches in awe and the next your limited to walking and 5lb weights. 9 years ago I had an incident in which my heart started beating at 20-30BPM and this went on for about a month. My cardiologist at the time wanted to put a pacemaker in but I knew down the road I would need surgery and that would become unused but remain in me forever. Well all of the sudden that stopped and I’ve never had problems since then. His last words are you have 8-10 years before you need surgery and he was about as accurate as it comes. May 1st I started feeling slightly short of breath but I’m very stubborn and didn’t get it checked until May 4th at my local ER. Everything became surreal at that point and I was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis and also have a 5.3 ascending aorta aneurysm. The next steps in my journey begin next week as I start meeting surgeons both locally and across the country.
