What’s up my dudes?! Yesterday marked 17 weeks post op. My blood pressure is under control and we are continuing to wean off BP meds. Next week I go to my first post-op check up and echo and I cannot shake the nerves 😂 it’s so funny how this stuff... Read more.

Yep - we're very much post traumatic stress patients with all of those negative triggers we endured.
Ever since my surgery (2017), my pressure is high in every doctors office I go to… I usually keep a 2 week record of my home pressures to show them that I am not truly out of control on my BP.
I would think nurse marie would be calm, cool, and collected in doctors office
Richard, I USED to be calm, cool and collected….
My bp before meeting my cardiologist this week was 124/82. I already read my results from home so i was pretty certain of his analysis before i saw him in person.
Same happens with my pressure when go to the doctors office, white coat effect.
Maybe I'm different...I have a mantra of not worrying about something until I have to.
Sounds like you are doing really well!!! I definitely had a lot of anxiety getting post surgery tests done (pre-surgery tests done too). I need to be more like Rose!!!

My biggest struggle pre-op was my uncontrolled blood pressure. I’m happy to report 12.5 weeks post op and it’s very controlled. And we’re starting to ween off meds 🥰
