Hello ! Mitral Valve Repair patient new to this forum - in my early 50s. I am actively exploring surgical approaches and surgeons this summer - anticipating a surgery this fall. It is a pleasure to share experience insight and encouragement on this site. Thanks November 22 update - having a MV repair at Cleveland Clinic, and through with pre-op. So very impressed with the institution and all of the nice, friendly, and competent people here. Post Surgery - Successful repair, and I am now at +10 weeks out. Steady progress and a good looking valve according to my first round of echos. The exchange of experiences has been invaluable - and honestly, fellow patients tell you things the doctors and nurses just miss! Cheers to you all !
