Send Peyton a NoteAbout Me
I was born with a coarctation of my aorta and bicuspid aortic valve. The coarc was repaired when I was 12 days old. I was monitored pretty closely as a child. When I was 12, I was diagnosed with hypertension. I have since had three children and I’m now 30. I An adult congenital heart defect specialist for the first time January and he informed me my regurgitation has went from mild/moderate to severe. We then scheduled a heart Cath and an MRI. Both of those showed that I will need a replacement in the next year. At first, the doctor said we might be able to just repair it but after the Cath said that he thinks I’m a good candidate for a Ross procedure. They have their meeting of all the doctors on the 22nd and that’s when we’ll talk about about scheduling and all that good stuff.
