It is indeed nothing compared to OHS. You go in and probably will be released the same day. Maybe they will keep you overnight. You will have to take it a bit easy for the next 1 month so the incision doesn't open when going on a run or hitting... Read more.
I had a similar experience as Robert with recovery from an ablation for SVT. Piece of cake compared to OHS.

Today is my 3 year anniversary! OHS mitral valve repair, Maze procedure, closure of atrial appendage and excision of a benign cyst from the exterior of the pericardial sac… for good measure. So grateful each day to my surgeon Dr. Asad Shah & his team, Adam, and all the heart... Read more.

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my OHS! I often check the HVS.com news feed and enjoy reading everyone's stories. My health is very good, although my A-fib returned with a vengeance a few months ago. My cardiologist believes it may be due to stress. He said my mitral... Read more.
