I saw my cardiologist on Monday and my EKG showed that I am having PACs. That explains my occasional SOB. He changed the dose of my metoprolol and he ordered an echo for June. Then, see him again in six months. He said my valve sounds great so that is... Read more.
Our dear Rose, It’s never easy when you have what i call “health blips”. I also have had two over the past five months; seems to be part of aging. Handling it with grace takes some mental gymnastics. Excellent news that your valve sounds good; and that the eye can... Read more.
Rose, you have been busy. Hoping all goes well from now on.
Deena - He simply stated that most people get them and never know it. I see my primary care doctor at the end of the month and will mention iron and ferritin to him to add to my blood work. Thanks for your prayers. I appreciate them.
Rose - I'm sorry to hear that you're having PVCs. I was diagnosed a few years ago with PVCs and PACs. My cardiologist put me on Metoprolol Succinate and increased the dosage until they were under control. Last year, I asked to have the dosage lowered to see if my... Read more.
Rose, I too have PVCs. Is that the same? My cardiologist says don’t worry, many people have them knowingly or unknowingly. I take his advice as stress is a contributing factor. My metoprolol was increased from 25 mg to 50 mg and that helped a lot. I also limit caffeine... Read more.
Dear Rose 🌹, Im sorry to hear all these issues you have been having. I don’t know much about PVCs or PACs but do hope you are doing better. Glad your eye can be repaired . I like my hvs godchild’s post. I myself fell last week exercising but Praise... Read more.
@Valerie-PVCs originate in the ventricle, and PACs originate in the atria. While too many PVC’s need to be treated and can be dangerous, too many PACs can be a precursor to afib, so it bears treatment and watching.
Great info our nurse hero, MM! Thank you!
Yes, my issue is PAC, Premature Atrial Contraction. Marie, that is just what my cardiologist said, that it could lead to afib so we need to keep a close eye on it. You are spot on, as always.
Oh our dear and amazing nurse Marie came to my rescue. Thank you for the explanation. ❤️🙏
Glad to hear your valve is sounding good Rose. Hopefully your PACs are remedied with the medication change. Did you find you had the "hole" near your retina in a regular eye exam? Or symptoms?
