Send Divya a NoteAbout Me
I had a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection and subsequent heart attack last year. As part of testing for that, Echos showed mitral valve regurgitation and stenosis. They suspect I must have had rheumatic fever as a child. I am 40 now and looks like the mitral valve has degenerated enough to warrant replacement. My surgeon has recommended bovine valve replacement with a robotically assisted surgery. Tentative surgery date is March of next year. Been an overwhelming couple of years for me with the coronary artery dissection and this diagnosis. Hoping to learn from the mitral valve replacement experiences here and prepare for surgery in the best way that I can :)
