Started cardiac rehab today. Felt really good to move and to be monitored so everything is good for my heart

I'm scheduled to graduate rehab next week. I couldn't agree more with you. The feeling of having 3 months of monitored exercise is such a great piece of mind.
Great to hear Michele! Enjoy your rehab time. Rehab has been really great for me(#15 today). Seeing your progress week to week as you increase your levels, while having peace of mind you are being safe, is a good feeling. Meeting other heart patients and sharing stories is cool, too.

Recovery was going very well but on 11/16 I could feel my heart beating stronger and slower and the blood pressure monitor said I was in AFib. I've been more tired and short of breath when walking upstairs in my house. Have a call into my cardiologist - hope this... Read more.
Bummer! Sending the very best of all best wishes to you.
Many struggle with Afib after surgery. Hopefully they can resolve it soon. There are meds for it but it could just be that you need more time.
Michele, Afib is the pits! I struggled with it for about six weeks. Glad you have a call into the cardiologist. Please keep us posted.
I hope your AFib is resolved soon Michele. It is not uncommon just after surgery and hopefully it will resolve. Keep us posted on what your doc recommends.

I am in my 8 wks of the surgery now ,I still have the chest and back pain but it's mild now. With each day that goes by ,you will get stronger 💖 I take vitamins for the poor appetite and it helps a lot.
So good to hear from you Michele. Congratulations on a successful surgery!
Impressed with your rapid discharge. Definitely dreading that first 48 hours here!
Wonderful news! Take one day at a time. Sleep and appetite will improve. Welcome to recovery.
Yay!! You did it! Welcome to recovery, Michele! Every day can be a little different in the first few weeks. Just be sure not to overdo it on the days you have alot of energy. Slow and steady wins the recovery race! Wishing you all the best! ❤️
Congrats Michele and welcome home ❤️‍🩹. All the best to you in your recovery. Each week brings more relief of those initial aches and pains. Heat packs and icy hot helped my shoulders and neck. An easy heat pack- a bag of rice tied up in a long sock, put... Read more.
