I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve when I was 18. I've been monitored by a cardiologist for 21 years. This February, my cardiologist told me that my aortic root had reached 5 cm and the regurgitation was getting worse. I went through the process of finding a surgeon and scheduled my AVR for July 14. I had my aortic valve replaced with an On-X valve and a Bentall procedure a month ago. The information I got from this site and community was extremely helpful. I had my one month post op appointment yesterday and everything is going just as planned, I may be a little ahead of schedule even. I've been making videos along the way in hopes that it could help someone else going through the same thing. I'll share the link here (they are completely amateur, but hopefully helpful).
