6 of the hardest days of my life. I am home, recovering in spite of a nasty UTI. All I can say is I cried tears of joy waking up from surgery, cried tears of pain, tears of exhaustion. But, I am home with my family. In fact my surgeon... Read more.

Mary, so hard to go through all this trauma, physically and mentally. In this case, one does not want to be so special. It must feel great to be home! Thank goodness the surgeon figured out in real time how to deal with your smaller sized organs, instead of dealing... Read more.
Welcome to recovery! I’m sorry your time was so difficult.
Mary - I'm so sorry to hear you had such a difficult time. Hopefully, your recovery will be better than your hospital experience. Stay positive. Better days are ahead!
I was happy waking up after surgery and all the nice nurses that took care of me. No appetite for a few days which helped me lose weight. I can't comment on the organ size. Never heard about that. As for the allergic reaction, I think that can happen. That... Read more.

My surgery was bumped to Friday June 6th, which is fine...someone is sicker than me. Heres the strange thing, I got a letter from my insurance Thursday saying I was approved for surgical admission June 5th- 10th. Yesterday, I got another one saying I was approved June 6th-11th. Nobody called... Read more.
Mary - Make sure you communicate that to your surgeon. Rescheduling happens, but there's an enormous amount of emotional and logistical preparation for you and your family before surgery. They could have at least eased your mind for a few more days if they knew you were moved to the... Read more.
I completely. I 100% understand that when it comes to heart surgery, emergencies happen and it can be bumped.....but they knew last week and I found out in a letter from my insurance.
That’s crazy Mary. You got in the system but in the lack of communication one. I’m glad you got approval letter. I started calling my insurance company and they sometimes have advocates to help you. Shame on them for putting the extra stress on you.
So sorry! 😔 Wishing you the best for a successful surgery and smooth recovery. Sending you hugs and prayers 💞🙏🏼

I spent 5 hours yesterday getting all my pre-op tests done. I cant believe its only 6 days until my first OHS. It went so fast. While I could think of about a 1000 other things I would rather be doing and have always HATED my cardiology check ups (since... Read more.
That's a long time. I have mine Monday. I'll be prepared! 🙏 Tractor ride sounds fun! ❤️
Hay end of May? That seems early. I have done my share of cutting crass in steep hills, raking it down, etc. You won't be doing that for the next 3 months or so. I am wishing you all the best for your upcoming surgery.
Robert, we are hoping the weather cooperates, since we will be tied up for a bit. Its not looking promising.
We'll be cheering for you, Mary! Go get 'em!
