I applaud your honesty about feeling vulnerable. I am not being humorous, but sincere when I say that I try not to think about longevity, importance of my health to my children-having lost their father as teenagers- my youngest was age 10-just thoughts that try to push into my mind... Read more.
Lila - Don't be so hard on yourself. Healing takes time and comes in many forms. Take your recovery in steps and create small challenges to keep yourself engaged. You'll get to where you want to go once you put your mind to it. All the best! ❤

Wonderful post Lila. I posted something about the emotional part of OHS a few weeks ago. .no one speaks of it and surgeons just tell you physically you will be fine afterwards. Having people that understand what you have gone through even if its just in writing help so much..... Read more.

7th Cardiac Rehab session was yesterday; they play music of all different sorts each day and just interact so nicely with those of us in the class. I was doing arm pulleys and realized I was singing out loud to the songs; I don't think the guys in the class... Read more.

I too was the only woman in my sessions of rehab, aside from the nurse that was there. We had some interesting conversations about every topic that I am not sure would have happened if it was just the guys. Good for you for singing out loud!! Spread your joy... Read more.
