Send Michael a NoteAbout Me
At 2 yrs old our family doctor heard a "bump swish". Now at 54 yrs old my bicuspid AV needs replacing. I knew someday a cardiologist would say that "it's time". Over the last year or so, I started to get winded and tired quicker when doing physical activities. I have the luxury to be able to wait until late Spring / early Summer to have the AVR. My feeling is to wait until after flu season winds down and my children are home from college. I also do not want to miss any of my son's lacrosse games as this is his senior season. So I have 3 + months to prepare mentally and physically. I have yet to decide on a hospital, surgeon or type of valve.
