Almost 7 months post Aortic Valve and Ascending Aorta Replacement. Feeling good and so very thankful!! Long journey but very doable! Prayers and quick recovery to my Heart Family!

I agree Denise. I am I week post-op & wondering when it gets better. It's always good to hear the positive lil baby steps we all make!

Hi Kimberly, I didn't have those symptoms. Glad you are recuperating and everyday will get better.
I had a very scratchy hoarse voice for about 5 weeks after surgery from damage related to the breathing tubes. Mine improved but it took time. I had a hard time eating anything crunchy for about 4 weeks. I would start to cough real bad on hard food and coughing... Read more.
