About Me

My name is Leticia (Tisha) de la Rosa-Creasey. I'm 48 years old and approximately 15 years ago, I was told I had a congenital heart defect. They diagnosed me with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. I have gone about my normal activities of exercise (ballet, running), mother of three and work without any complications. This week at my routine 6 month visit to my cardiologist, I was told the valve is narrowing, stenosis is severe and it is time for surgery. I live in Austin Texas. I'm hoping to connect with others that will share their stories, experiences and give me helpful hints.
