Update - The pulmonic valve replacement surgery on 2-13 went very smooth! Dr. Pettersson was pleased with my outcome. I was in the ICU for just about 24hrs before I was cleared to a step-down unit. Pain has been very manageable until 2-17 when I had a huge coughing spell... Read more.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the coughing stuff. Hope each day gets better.
That did not sound fun Ben and glad you are past that part of the recovery. It seems there are drastic differences between experiences and I hope yours gets much better!
Ben sorry to hear about the coughing, I can only imagine. I was freaked out when I just sneezed. Here's to better days.
Home is where your fixed heart is. Take it easy heart brother. I pray your chest pain will be alleviated soon.

Change of plans - As most of you know, I'm scheduled to have open heart surgery to insert a pulmonary valve tomorrow morning at the Cleveland Clinic. My surgeon's secretary just called and informed there is a very critically ill infant being admitted tonight and will be taking my surgical... Read more.

Prayers for the infant and family and your day on Friday. It will be a new day for you with a fixed heart. God bless and rise up!
I'm in the medical field and do heart caths on people daily, you and your family made a wise decision to change the date and have it done early/mid morning. Good move, and also prayers to the family/infant as well!
