Happy 2015! This past Fall I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve and a dilated ascending aorta. My wonderful doctors here at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI have recommended I have the aorta replaced, and the valve either replaced or repaired. On Wednesday, Jan 7th I am heading down to the Cleveland Clinic to get a second opinion. I am quite nervous but looking forward to tackling this issue and being on the other side of it.
