Barbara, you are a testament to everyone awaiting surgery. Look what you have been through at age 78! I had a lot of inflammatory problems as well so I know what that is all about. Thank you for sharing your journey. You give great advice and you uplift others. â¤ï¸â€ðŸ©¹ðŸ‘

Finally at rehab after 6 days ICU & 4 days step down! aI was not easy but hope Iâ€™m in th right direction. Fluid accumulation & afib.. very weak. My friends hung by me. Still foggy.. pump brain? This will def take a while! â™¥ï¸ðŸ˜

One day at a time. Walk when you feel good, rest when your body tells you. It takes awhile to lose the tiredness, but you're on your way! ðŸ˜€

It is a huge surgery, and it is both an emotional and physical recovery process. Like Kathy Ozio said above, take one day at a time and hang in there!

My Myâ€¦ tomorrow I turn 78 & 2 days later Iâ€™ll get a new valve and a new lease on life! I am feeling much gratitude and optimism. Thanks in advance to my OR heart team and to all of you for the encouragement!ðŸ’•

You are ready. My Aortic Valve Replacement was also 3 days after I turned 78. I did fine.Your job is to be positive and follow doctors advice. The Heart Teams are fantastic. Good luck
