About Me

Hi all My PCP discovered heart murmur on routine physical in 2020. I was referred to Catdiologist who sent me for Echocardiogram. Mitral Valve regurgitation was in moderate range. Cardiologist recommended every 6 month testing. No outward symptoms. Next 6 months Cardiologist referred me to Dr Sharma just to check in. Dr Sharma advised it was not time for surgery. 2 more cycles of TEE and stress test. Checked back in with Surgeon. Now regurgitation in Severe range. Dr Sharma says it's time because heart is starting to stretch. This was in Nov 2023. Since then I've been trying to arrange everything at work for my surgery next week. Been a frequent reader on this site. I have mixed emotions about surgery but want to get it behind me 💜
