If we are talking minimally invasive surgery , i had it in 2021 and had some sharp pains on occasion especially in one location for about 6 months after surgery. My surgeon told me some nerves get cut and take time to regenerate. Over all however i am happy with... Read more.
Hi there David - I had a sternotomy ultimately as felt like the right decision for me. But yes, the headaches, blurry vision and vertigo of sorts last for some time. I never had nausea. We attribute a lot of this to the bypass impacts and many patients have this.... Read more.
I have minor disconfort still in the central chest area more than two years after open surgery, but doctors didn´t pay much attention. I still have the metal staples on the sternum.
I had a mini thorocotomy and have numbness, pins and needles, and momentary shock sensations on my right side for about a year.
