Which valve did you ultimately decide on? Mechanical or Tissue? Hope your recovery is a smooth one. We all go through it differently. AFIB is a real pest btw!! Hope that resolves.

Tom, We went with a Tissue Valve. My valve had microscopic holes in it with the flapping leaflet. Probably a birth defect

Your head will clear though sometimes it doesn’t seem that way! I remember trying to tell my brother in law a story but he was having to supply about every fifth word. I told him “Nevermind. I’ll tell you again when I can remember words!†We just laughed!

After all the test, research and reading all the experiences I got the call! Game Day next Tuesday 1/15. I'm taking an "All In Approach" and charging at this event. Looking forward to the challenge! Hope this doesn't change on Monday....LOL

Surgery date is good. The “All in†approach is a good mindset. I made myself a heart warrior play list and one of my songs on it is “All In†by Mathew West.
