My experience Day 2 of 3 (7/30) Pre-Op testing at the Cleveland Clinic Mitral Valve Repair surgery. Received a call in the evening the night before to inform me of the time, location and instructions. I had to fast the night before nothing past 12am. My appointment was early in the morning about 6am. Doctors who were on the team to perform the cardiac cath. Came and introduced themselves; they also went over what the procedure would be like and what to expect. This is my first time having a wrist cardiac cath. The previous one I had was in the groin. During the procedure they asked me to take some deep breaths and after that it was all over. The whole procedure took about a bit under hour. I was placed in a recovery room for about 3-4 hours to ensure no bleeding. I was able to walk and get around pretty easily after I was discharged. My hand was swollen up until about late evening.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes before my surgery ❤️. My mitral valve was repaired robotically by Marc Gollinov at the Cleveland Clinic. Was a painful couple of days but now on the road to recovery and time to get some rest! I’ll share more about my experience at a later time. Talk to you all soon!
