Hi all, I was diagnosed with severe mitral valve regurgitation back in 2018. I was in my mid 30’s. After meeting with a surgeon in Clearwater Florida he recommended for me to have heart surgery (mini Sternotomy). He recommended to schedule it 2 days later but to be I honest I was nervous and scared and I postponed it TILL NOW. Yes 8 years later but after but coming across this website and the YouTube channel I became very comfortable with the decision to finally go through with it. My surgery is next week with Dr. Gillinov who will be performing to do it robotically in Cleveland Clinic Ohio. I’ll follow up and let you know of how it went!
