My husband is 6 weeks post op from mitral valve replacement. He is now experiencing A Flutter. How common is this and will it end? He's been taken off his bp med and Verapamil. ( just back on today after seeing the doc). Also has Been on 2 rounds of... Read more.

Very common; check with your doctor; there are meds for that.

As Vanessa said, it's very common. 6 months after aortic valve replacement, I'm still having atrial flutter. My doctor is keeping it under control with Metoprolol.

We went for my husband's 2 week post op check up and he has been discharged!!!! Thank you to Dr Raymond Singer for his wonderful skill and the staff at LVHN for excellent care. My husband 's only complaint is his sense of taste is gone. Hopefully that gets better... Read more.
