I have had a heart murmur all my life,(mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation), totally asymptomatic. I am quite physically active. However, After a nasty bout with bronchitis and some tests, I learned that it had increased in severity and needed repair. I was advised to do it sooner rather than later, so here I am, going in for MVP repair surgery on the 22nd. A daunting situation; but I have great confidence in my surgeon and his team. Looking forward to getting it done so I can start my recovery.
