I had one episode of rapid heart rate after cardiac rehab/ hr to 150 and took 3 hrs to get down to 80's. Wore monitor for 3 weeks and placed on metropolol and never had another incident. Many others have been treated for persistent AFib or AFlutter esp w MV... Read more.

Hi all, New member here. 61 yr old male, excellent health, recently diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse requiring repair. Has anyone had any positive experiences with New York metro surgeons? Thanks

John: David Adams and Allan Stewart at Mount Sinai were tops on my list. I went to Cleveland Clinic due to proximity. I had narrowed hospitals to Mayo, Cleveland Clinic and Mount Sinai. You should be able to find patients here who have had these physicians make repairs.

Dr. Michael Argenziano was my surgeon from NY Presbyterian....a wonderful surgeon, a wonderful, kind, funny man. I had mitral valve replacement and am 8 months post surgery and feel phenomenal!!! Check him out for sure!
