Yes itâ€™s QUITE a journey going through valve replacement and a second surgery is a bit rougher experience but itâ€™s so worth it to have a new valve and look forward to life!!! Iâ€™m turning a corner at 17 days and doing 2 miles walking a dayâ€¦.even some hillsâ€¦slowlyðŸ˜Š. Itâ€™s... Read more.

Thanks for the encouragement. Itâ€™s good to hear from fellow valve sisters and brothers. My SAVR is march 18 and I will be getting an Inspiris valve which has been out for several year with a good track record. Have any of you had sternal closure with fiber tape rather... Read more.

Iâ€™m headed for a redo SAVR in 3 weeks. A TAVR was not a good plan for me so itâ€™s open heart againâ€¦â€¦I got almost 10 years out of my St Judeâ€™s trifecta valve which is more than many got. My symptom of valve failure are different than the first... Read more.

My second surgery was a little more difficult than the first one. Recovery, too. My first valve lasted almost 8 years. My second surgery was more involved, which explains it.
