Hi everybody. I have ptsd from the surgery and was wondering if anyone else experienced this?

I know there have been posts about PTSD post surgery, especially emergency surgery. I hope you are speaking to your cardiologist/ primary care doc about it. They might direct you to a suitable therapist who can help you work through your feelings. Godspeed!

Hello everyone! I had aortic valve and mitral valve 2 years ago. My echo still shows significant leaking and stenosis. Is this normal? Also has anyone experienced depression ? Thank you

Has the leaking and stenosis worsened, or was it present right after surgery? I think that is a good question for your cardiologist. I have experienced depression, but mine was unrelated to the heart surgery. Hopefully you have spoken to your primary doctor about this, and discussed whether you need... Read more.

Dear Joanna, depending on how big the leakage and stenosis are, I am sure they will monitor you and decide when it is time to intervene again, ask your cardiologist definitely. It happens sometimes. And depression is often mentioned here on this site, a lot of heart warriors had it... Read more.
