I have a moderate to severe mitral valve regurgitation with left ventricle size bordering on enlarged. I experience delayed fatigue after physical exertion, but no typical restrictions during exercise, such as shortness of breath. My energy levels overall are not great and I need a lot of rest. All in all, my symptoms are not severe but they are present daily, and life-changing. Doctors said the surgery was necessary but were not pushing for it to happen now (it was rather a watch-and-wait approach), but when I explained how I felt, they were happy to go ahead. I am 58 ys old.
