Day one of tests at the Cleveland Clinic is done. Day 2 begins in an hour. Surgery is scheduled for Wed., 4/29p. I am meeting the surgeon this afternoon to lock in on the scope and plan. It is a whirlwind!

I hope you met the surgeon a good amount of time (days/weeks) before. And I hope you met with other surgeons. Considering tests are done over 2 days rather than within hours, it can't be that urgent. If you have OHS, there are things to prepare that make recovery easier.... Read more.

It’s been a while since I’ve visited/posted on HVS.com! I had a mitral valve repair (MVP) via full sternotomy in 2014 by Dr. Gosta Pettersson at the Cleveland Clinic. Thanks, JAlexander. My MV repair is still good. I had an annuloplasty ring installed and chordoplasty. The regurge went from severe to trivial post surgery and has been consistently “mild†with no dilation. Great repair. Time for an AV tune up. If SAVR happens, it will be on 4/29.

Hey Markos, When is your procedure? I’m doing all prep tests 4/27-28 and surgery tentatively on 4/29 at CC.
So close ! I am waiting for the surgeon to tell me
