"I did not see my surgeon after but requested thru my I.C.U. nurse that I would like to talk to him. He immediately tried to call but I was out of my room. He left a message that he called.

He came to see me two days later and stayed 45 minutes with me answering all post operative questions . He was patient, kind ,and very informative.

I was saddened that my outcome involved an unexpected pacemaker but felt less anxious after he spoke with me.

His calm demeanor seemed to bring peace to my emotional upset over the pacemaker."

If I did not like his attitude or trust him with my care, I would have never made the appointment for the surgery."

All I got to say is that I am overwhelmed by God's grace. God truly showed His love through the compassion of Dr. Zaki and the entire transplant team. I am beyond thankful for the prayers I didn't hear, the tears I didn't see, the sleepless nights you had and the weight that you carried I couldn't take, all for my sake.

Most of all, I am thankful for the love that was poured out in abundance that I did have the blessing to witness. Plus my scar is not crooked so that's a bonus, haha!"
