About Me

February 13, 2017 first AVR. I have been going to CC since my heart attack in 2010. I have known about my bicuspid aortic valve, and that surgery was a possibility. At my appointment in September, testing discovered my valve has gotten worse. Along with becoming more symptomatic. Time to do surgery. Thankfully, immediate surgery was not necessary. Waiting to hear from CC this week for the schedule. Expecting soon after the first of the year. UPDATE May 2025. 8 years since initial AVR for a bicuspid valve. The Trifecta GT valve is failing….ugh! Headed back to Cleveland for a redo. Unfortunately a full sternotomy. But, I know I will feel so much better afterwards. I am very symptomatic. Short of breath, sometimes even when sitting, cannot walk any distance and the fatigue is overwhelming. Still gonna fight like a girl!
