Yes, I continue to struggle with it at 9 weeks post op but it's getting better. I had everything checked out including an echocardiogram and an xray, all was normal. It seemed I was having bad anxiety, so I was given xanax, which really helped. It is a journey, but... Read more.

Look up hypnic jerk, I had it for a few weeks after surgery. Once off pain meds for a bit it went away.

I had the lack of air sensation while trying to sleep the first few days after being home. Odd because I use a CPAP, which was definitely supplying air! I was able to lessen the feeling by not sleeping flat. I propped pillows to sleep elevated and it helped.

We do all know where you are coming from. The fear was really intense for me beforehand. Try to put trust in your surgeon and your medical team. Picture yourself after this surgery when you are healed and feeling great. I visualized my surgeon talking to me after the surgery... Read more.
