I am newly diagnosed with BAV, I lived 51 years with out knowing that I had BAV. I am a type 2 diabetic that is under control. I have a very physical job that I am currently not doing because of the diagnosis. I am trying to make up my mind on which valve is best for me. I have a very supportive wife and 2 young children, 10 and 12. Update I write this on June 24, 2016. I had an aortic valve replacement surgery with a mechanical valve on June 14, 2016. The name of my valve is TOP HAT made by Sorin. I had my procedure done at Mayo Clinic, St. Marys hospital Rochester MN. If any would like to know more let me know we can private email.
