Gratefully celebrating 10 years post AVR today! Many thanks to Adam for developing this much needed community. The information and support I received was priceless. Thinking of the many who were a support to me during this time. I pray they are all well.

I saw my Cardiologist on Dec. 1st for an Echo because of some shortness of breath during exercise. Good news!! Valve is working well and no sign of any failure or stenosis! My Dr. says we all have fallen back on our exercise this last year, and it is taking... Read more.
Fantastic news, Elaine! My experience is if I overdo it physically the next day I feel a bit breathless. For instance, walking and hiking are fine but if I exercise on my bike which is a type of resistance exercise I will definitely feel breathless the following day if I... Read more.

I hope all goes well for you. I had my yearly echo today and awaiting the results. its always such a nerve wracking time. It'll be 5 years for me in April and I was 56. keep us posted.

Elaine, I am sorry you are going through this earlier than anticipated. The good news is each year the technology and surgical methods improve.
