Hi All. Its been a but since I checked in. I was laid off for the first time in my life in April! Probably the best thing that's ever happened. At 64 it’s time to relax. All is going well valve wise (8.5 yrs). I feel great thank God. I’ll spend some going through the posts but wanted to say hello to all my heart brothers and sisters! I havent forgotten you!

So update on the aneurysm. On my echo back in November they said it had grown from 4.2- to 4.5 cm. I went to the cardiologist yesterday for my annual check and she said it really has been steady for the past 8 years. Depending on how they measure the "wall" of the aorta, they will get a different reading. She re read the echo herself and found it be pretty much the same. So, I've been flustered for 3 months for basically nothing.! I was wondering why it would start to grow at this point when all is stable with the valve etc. So, I have another echo in May just to check and then if we see discrepancies, she will order a CTA just to "put it to bed" as she says. No need for radiation when not necessary. I posted this just in case someone else out there has the same issue. Talk to your doctor and hear what they have to say. Some of these tests are very volatile and depending on who does the marking and/or reading the results can be different!
