Celebrating 12 weeks post AVR today with a long beach walk with the pooch. I felt great! Recovery has been up and down, but steadily better as the weeks past. I highly recommend cardiac rehab sessions once cleared following surgery.
Looking good Ted. Your pooch is beautiful. Continued good health and recovery. God bless you
Congrats on your 12 week Anniversary!! You look like you're doing great! I completely agree that cardiac rehab makes a big difference after surgery! There's a lot of life to live!! ❤
Love you and your pooch. You no doubt realize that your dog is your best therapy for recovery. Thankfully my wife does not read these but Cassie does.
Day 1 post surgery and feeling pretty good. Great experience with Dr. Argenziano and team at Columbia Presbyterian!!
Looking fabulous, Ted! Welcome to recovery!!!
You are even smiling!! I am impressed... Be patient with yourself through recovery.
Ted, you look great! Congratulations on having your surgery behind you, and wishing you a smooth recovery.

Light gym session today. T-minus 3 weeks until Dr. Argenziano @CUMC replaces my aortic valve. Trying to keep my mind in a positive place!
👍 Deena Z and Holly Wale reacted to this
Thanks Ana...It's gonna be a bioprosthetic valve along with a graft for the ascending aorta. The aortic root will be a decision by the doctor during the surgery. I've really appreciated this news feed and all the information and resources available on HVS. Kudos Adam!
I’m with you on this site. It was a lifesaver for me when I found out I needed OHS and since then.
I had a tissue aortic valve, ascending and root aneurysm replaced 4 years ago at age 63. The whole experience was not as bad as my worrying mind had made it out to be. Wishing you a smooth journey though surgery and recovery!
I know all will go well for you. It's so great you're getting some activity in the gym as it helps so much in staying positive.
