My life changed dramatically 6 years ago yesterday: open heart surgery for septal myectomy, mitral valve repair & PFO closure (hole in the heart). Without that surgery I wouldn’t be here today. So grateful to my amazing surgeon & his team! God is good!

Wow. You are definitely the "come-back kid". You took charge of your health and lost the weight in addition to the surgery. Right on!

Celebrating 9 Months Post OHS (08/21/15). I think it's healing pretty nicely, although I'm still looking for my beach bod somewhere in there.

Your scar jas healed really well, along with your barely visible drainage tubes. Quicker than mine. Best to avoid the sunburn 😏

Looks good. Mine are still darker. Especially the drain scars.
