Well, I’m back where I was almost exactly 8 years ago. Getting a new AVR! They couldn’t do the TAVR I was expecting because 1) the valve is too small 2) There is nothing compatible (they had to send my info to the manufacturer in California!) TAVR team can’t do... Read more.
I am know there have been people here on their second (or third) go-around. Hopefully those folks will chime in with their stories..I myself am at that 8 year mark, and it is a little spooky when I get my routine echocardiograms…

It's my one year anniversary!!!! Living life to the fullest and loving it! Can't believe what a difference having an AVR has made in my life.

Ok, admitted to LGH with severe pain upper right quadrant and down right arm: Diagnosis: Gallstones. Good news is they completely checked out the heart again and all is well and operating normally. Surgery in the near future to remove gallbladder. I'm ready to be healthy again!!!!
I think you have already fulfilled your surgery quota for a while! Seriously, hope it all goes smoothly, and that it is the last surgery you will ever need...
That seems unfair, but glad it wasn't the heart! Best wishes!
Wendy, what a scare. I'm sure the last thing you want is another surgery. But at this this one will not be as invasive as OHS was. Best wishes.
