My mitral valve repair was a total success, according to my surgeon. Today is Day 4 (surgery was Friday morning).
My recovery is progressing very well -- up walking the halls, sitting up with no issues, pain is pretty manageable. Had some afib in the middle of the night last... Read more.

Congratulations! Wishing you the best on your continued recovery. I also had one instance of AFIB in the hospital and was give Amiodarone via IV. They kept me on it for a month after I was discharged.
Sounds like your doing very well. Not as bad as you thought! Keep walking. Stay Well.
