I’m a little over 9months post op AVR and Cox MAZE to fix Afib. All I can say is I am so thankful to Dr.Gerdisch his team and the Franciscan staff that took care of me back in March. It’s truly a blessing to hear that On-X valve ticking away.... Read more.

Heading back to Indianapolis today for my 2 week follow up appointment. Having a little trouble getting my INR regulated up so I have had to do some Lovenox shots the last few days until they figure out the dosage. Other than that things are progressing well. Feeling a little... Read more.

wow, Rob, that was fast. In and out! You look great. Keep it up. You will be amazed at how quickly you gain your stamina each day. Congrats to a stronger heart and longer life.
Man you look great. And a 3 day hospital stay.....You couldn't ask for a better outcome. Man i hope my surgery goes like yours. Its nice to see storys like yours. Enjoy your lazy boy recliner. And take it easy.
Hey Jason, You can do it! Get up and get moving as soon as they will let you or they tell you to. I had rigid sternal fixation as well which is much better than wires.

Gerdisch is an awesome dude! The OnX will do you well, as mine has been ticking away for 10 years now. St. Francis' nursing staff was top notch (first time I've ever had the Blake tube pulled without any pain).
