So my previous echo 8 months ago showed a moderate/severe leaky mitral valve with some left ventricle compromise. All the talk was of investigation and intervention - so I've spent the last 8 months worrying about cardiac surgery. I did have a hip replacement to distract myself, but that wasn't... Read more.
Hi Mary! I too have had varying results. The last hospital and cardiologist I was working with said that the echos I took for them showed a "possible" blood clot on an inside wall of my heart. They put me on a Warafin regimen to dissolve the clot while I... Read more.

I had my left hip replaced with a spinal and sedation. The big drawback was that I was really sick post-op and needed 3 doses of anti-emetics. I've since found out I was given diamorphine. Morphine also has the same effect so when I have my cardiac op they're going... Read more.
