You’re doing all of the appropriate mental and physical preparation. I wasn’t prepared for the post op anemia, and overwhelming fatigue . Prepare and freeze your favorite meals....they’ll be enticing when your appetite wanes. Family and friends are so important! Best wishes for a great recovery!

I met with my Surgeon Dr. David for the first time last week-January 23. I learned that I will require Mitral Valve and tricuspid valve repair. I am awaiting the Angiogram appointment. Apparently the TEE will not be done ahead of surgery date. All of this is daunting to say... Read more.

Jo, Keep your head high. You are in great hands with Dr. David. He is a world-renown surgeon. One of the best out there. Let him and his team guide you to a healthy heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
