About Me

I’m scheduled for valve repairs on January 17, 2020. I was diagnosed 5/3/19. I had just completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training I had.been experiencing fatigue and a cough. Then my apple iWatch alarmed me to inform me that I was in AFIB! My resting heart rate was always around 60, so I was very concerned and went to my Family Practice MD, and was immediately admitted to the hospital. I had AFIB, dilated cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, bilateral pleural effusions and mitral valve regurgitation. Over the next 3 weeks I was cardioverted twice, had an cardiac cath, and was fitted with a defibrillator vest.... which shocked me several times due to a drug reaction causing toursades!
