I'm 7 weeks post op and things are still going well. Have had 5 days of Cardiac Rehab. My only complaint is the pain and soreness in my chest. Little by little I am returning to my prior lifestyle.

Slow and steady, JoAnn! Sounds like you're doing great for 7 weeks! You'll feel better and better over the next month! Keep up the excellent work!
Stinks that you are still sore. Sounds like everything is going very well.

My wait is over. My surgeon confirmed it’s time. It hasn’t been quite 6 months since my last Echo but things have progressed. So I guess my time is here. Very nervous but working to get myself together.

I went for my Echo on February 8, 2018 and I had a follow up visit with my surgeon on February 12, 2018. I got kinda good news. We have decided that I will continue to wait on my surgery. My surgeon was concerned with the fact I am only... Read more.

Here is hoping for a long watchful waiting for you JoAnn.
Just read this. I am in a similar situation but my Cardiologist is recommending a tissue valve. His thoughts are that it should last around 15 years and by then TAVR will be standard. Good luck on your "heart" journey. I will be praying for you.
Jennifer, like your surgeon, I discussed tissue this time and he said the Tavr will be perfected by then. Waiting for the final decision, but I am leaning toward tissue . Best wishes ...
